Curtin University of Technology is Western Australia's largest university with over 40,000 students and nearly 2000 research students. The university is a world-class, internationally focused institution with its main campus situated in Bently, six kilometres south of the centre of Perth, which is Western Australia's capital.


The Faculty of Health Sciences and the Centre of Excellence for Seafood (CoES) are involved with the Australian Seafood Cooperative Research Centre's research and development. The Faculty and CoES are committed to excellence in research and evaluation in many health related areas.
